India’s property sector will continue to see increased interest from global investors and higher allocation of long-term capital given the limited growth opportunities in other developing markets. “India will be a key part of the overall growth strategy. Investors are looking at yield generating opportunities and emerging markets will see a lot of opportunity when dollar rate and interest rates drop”.
There are many firms looking to invest more in commercial, logistics and industrial assets, and data centres, as part of its expansion in India. India is one of the strategic growth markets and many foreign companies have not put any investment on hold despite Covid disruption. Yields have also neither contracted nor gone up. There are planning that many companies are aiming to double CapitaLand business and other properties – IT parks, industrial and logistics – to multi-million dollars Sq. Ft by 2024.
